4. Device Permissions Required

A. Local Device Sandbox (Offline-First)

Almost 100% of your generated logs, step tracking history, habit schedules, alarms, and personal journal notes are written directly to a highly secure SQLite database (vitalflow.db) residing strictly in your device's application sandbox (AppDataDirectory).

• This data is fully offline, private to your hardware, and completely inaccessible by any external applications.
• Uninstalling the App will completely purge the local SQLite database.

B. Cloud Sync (Google Firebase)

For cross-device continuity, the App synchronizes certain metadata securely with a Google Firebase Realtime Database:

• Only your User Profile properties are backed up to the Firebase cloud server.
• Data is fully encrypted in transit using industry-standard Secure Sockets Layer (SSL/TLS) mechanisms.
• Firebase Realtime Database access is governed by strict Security Rules restricting read/write capabilities to authorized user references.

7. Sharing Your Information

We do not sell, license, rent, trade, or monetize your health or personal records with third-party advertising networks, data brokers, or analytics corporations under any circumstances.

Your data is only shared with third parties under the following extreme scenarios:

• Direct User Action: If you manually choose to export your reports or copy logs to share with your personal healthcare professional.
• Legal Obligations: If we are required to disclose user information to satisfy laws, administrative search warrants, or court subpoenas.

We integrate a single reliable cloud provider to administer profile backup services:

9. Your Rights & Control (GDPR / CCPA)

Regardless of your geographic region, we provide extensive control over your data, reflecting the core principles of GDPR and CCPA:

• Access & Modify: You can view, edit, or revise your logs, habits, profile metrics, and vitals at any time directly in the VitalFlow interface.
• Data Erasure: You can completely destroy your local data instantly by clearing the App's storage cache or uninstalling the App. To request deletion of synced Firebase profiles, you can reach out directly via our support email.
• Manage Permissions: You can disable pedometer sensor or notification access at any point within your device's System Settings.

10. Children's Privacy

VitalFlow is designed as a self-tracking utility for adult and adolescent health tracking. We do not knowingly or actively solicit or collect data from children under 13 years of age. If you discover that a child has created a profile without parental supervision, please contact us immediately, and we will take immediate steps to remove the synced profile data from our servers.
