1. Introduction
Welcome to Pulse Scan ("we," "our," or "us"). Pulse Scan is the companion Android terminal application for the Gordian Pulse enterprise human resource and workforce management suite (hosted at gordianpulse.in).
Pulse Scan is designed specifically for corporate administrators, HR coordinators, and tenant executives to transform physical Android devices into stationary workplace clock-in/clock-out terminals. We are committed to maintaining the highest security standards for all attendance, device, and log data.
By installing, configuring, or operating the Pulse Scan application on your terminal hardware, you agree to the practices described in this Privacy Policy.
2. Google Play Developer Declarations
To ensure full compliance with the Google Play Store standards, we explicitly declare that Pulse Scan serves strictly as an **Enterprise Corporate Utility** to log workforce hours. The application operates in the following operational domains:
Attendance & Shift Verification
Associated Features: Scanning dynamic or static check-in employee QR Code ID badges to log check-in/check-out entries.
Processed Data: QR payload (employee identifier, tenant identifier), gate identification, and scan timestamps.
Declared CategoryTerminal Hardware Security
Associated Features: Authorizing and locking the physical terminal device to a specific tenant corporate account.
Processed Data: Unique device hardware identifier (device serial/ID) to prevent spoofed card check-ins from unregistered gate terminals.
Declared Category3. Information We Collect
Pulse Scan collects only the minimum technical parameters required to execute safe check-ins and maintain active device authorization links with the central dashboard:
A. Attendance Check-in Logs
When a worker presents their corporate QR badge to the terminal scanner, the app processes:
- Employee ID: The randomized Guid identifier representing the specific employee.
- Tenant ID: The corporate workspace identifier linked to your employer.
- Timestamp: The precise date and time of the scan.
B. Device Verification Details
To securely bind the terminal device to the employer's gate settings, we collect:
- Unique Device Identifier: The secure device serial number or standard Android ID.
- Device Name: Basic model descriptor (e.g. "Micromax in1b") to display terminal status on the main dashboard.
4. Device Permissions Required
Pulse Scan requires specific device capabilities to operate as a physical kiosk terminal:
- Camera Permission (Strictly local QR scan): Required strictly to initialize the optical scanner camera and capture employee card QR codes. **No video streams, photographs, or raw feeds are ever stored locally or uploaded to any servers.**
- Network / Internet: Essential to securely transmit check-in logs in real-time to your Central Dashboard.
5. How We Use Your Information
All recorded details are used solely to run your organization's core attendance and secure terminal nexus:
- To verify employee shift hours on the central Gordian Pulse dashboard.
- To authorize physical devices as secure attendance gate terminals.
- To synchronize local clocking logs with the cloud databases when offline connections are restored.
6. Data Storage & Security
Pulse Scan is built using an enterprise-grade hybrid storage structure:
A. Local Device SQLite Database
In offline scenarios, the terminal stores attendance logs locally in a secure, isolated SQLite database (gordian_attendance.db) inside the protected device sandbox. This data is private to the application and cannot be accessed by external filesystems.
B. Secure Cloud Synchronization
All data sent to your central web dashboard is encrypted in transit using industry-standard Secure Sockets Layer (SSL/TLS) protocols. Storage is securely structured on Supabase cloud servers, governed by strict PostgreSQL Row-Level Security (RLS) policies.
8. Third-Party Services
We leverage a single trusted core database and hosting provider:
- Supabase Cloud Databases: Attendance logs and terminal authorizations are synced strictly with secure Supabase databases. You can review the Supabase Privacy Policy.
9. Your Rights & Control
Corporate administrators have absolute control over their terminal devices and log data. Via the central Settings dashboard on the web, you can:
- Revoke Devices: Immediately de-authorize and sever the connection of any physical terminal.
- Purge Logs: Permanently delete employee check-in records in compliance with localized labor codes and corporate policies.
10. Children's Privacy
Pulse Scan is an enterprise human resource utility designed strictly for corporate workplace environments. We do not solicit or collect data from children under 13 years of age.
